Revelation

Personal Project.
I used some old assets I did for other portfolio fx I made in the past. In this one I mostly focused my attention on making the black "energy smoke" that flows at the beginning and I decided to put a little gif of its brakedawn. I procedurally created some curves in Houdini with a linear gradient color applyed to them and I converted them into static meshes. I'm going to use the gradient as vertex color to drive the movement of the vertices into the shader by the world position offset. This way I could make an actor blueprint which influences the movment of the meshes as I transform it into the 3D space (I use a parameter collection into the shader to do that). I also put a sphere at the end of the curves where the "energy flows" and it's affected by the field as well. So this way I could control the movment of each part and make it look more organic.
