Dark Potion

For this project, I modeled the bottle in Houdini and hand-painted all the textures in Photoshop to achieve a stylized yet grounded aesthetic. The glass material was created directly inside Unreal Engine, tailored to capture subtle refractions and light behavior.
The animated blobs suspended inside the bottle were generated using a custom HLSL shader I developed for my Chamber B2 personal project (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WXvoGy). I extended this shader by adding a second Custom node to dynamically calculate normals based on the blob shapes themselves, which allowed me to give the blobs a more volumetric, three-dimensional appearance—enhancing their sense of depth and realism.

To complement the internal motion, I used Niagara Fluids to simulate ethereal smoke both inside and outside the bottle, adding a mystical and atmospheric quality to the scene.
